Artillery College Room in the Alcázar of Segovia

In 1960, Miquel Farré was commissioned to decorate the Sala del Colegio de Artillería in the Alcázar of Segovia. In a long continuous frieze, he depicted Spanish artillerymen from different eras, starting from the Middle Ages, in dynamic scenes with their weapons, machinery, and ammunition. With an illustrative style and an agile composition, Farré synthesized historical details to create an evocation of the history of Spanish artillery.
