Fresco painting constitutes a prominent realm within Miquel Farré’s artistic output. His training in this technique took place in Florence, where he studied at the Istituto d'Arte di Porta Romana and the University of Florence. Between 1935 and 1975, he created fourteen mural works, covering both religious and civil themes, commissioned for churches, chapels, public buildings, and headquarters of private organizations.
His career as a fresco painter began in Raïmat and spanned four decades, encompassing projects of vastly different scales and architectural contexts. His works explore religious iconographic programs, historical scenes, and depictions related to labor, industry, and daily life, culminating in his final fresco intervention, executed in 1975 in Saint George's Chapel of the Palau de la Generalitat de Catalunya.
