Convent de les Carmelites Descalces
In 1954, Miquel Farré decorated the church of the convent of the Discalced Carmelites in Mataró with a series of figures framed in semicircular niches. Saint Joseph, Saint Anthony Abbot, Jesus with the Samaritan Woman, and scenes dedicated to Saint Teresa of Ávila stand out against neutral backgrounds, in a composition of elegant simplicity where Farré's usual dynamism gives way to a serene spirituality.
